Entries Now Open for 2020 Riviera Port Lincoln Tuna Classic

Entries are now open to for the Riviera Port Lincoln Tuna Classic that is set to take place in March next year.

Fisherman will go hard for two days competing to tag and release as many Southern Blue Fish tuna as possible.

Anglers can compete in two boat categories that include over 8 meters and under 8 meters.

Cash prizes and trophies will be up for grabs for men, woman and kids to ensure everyone has the chance to get involved and have some fun.

Categories include

  • Male and female Junior anglers 11 to 16
  • Champion small fry 11 and under
  • Champion Boat under 8 meters
  • Champion male and female anglers
  • And more

The event will begin on Friday 13th March 2020 that will see a presentation that evening, fishing to begin at 8 am on Saturday with a shotgun start and a final presentation night to be held on Sunday 15th March at the Port Lincoln Hotel.

Event organisers say it’s a great opportunity to get out to offshore grounds that are generally too dangerous to venture out to alone, but the Tuna Classic provides security with larger boats surrounding and looking out for one another.
